How can I make a reservation?
We accept individual table reservations exclusively through our online booking system, which can be accessed by clicking the Book Now button on our website. Please note that reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance and for parties of up to four people. If you wish to book a table more than 90 days ahead, please contact us at gourmet@platantata.hu. For parties larger than four, please write to us at restaurant@platangourmet.hu.
What is your cancellation policy?
When making a reservation in our online booking system, credit card details will be required. The provided card may only be charged a cancellation or modification fee in the case of late cancellation, modification, or no-show. Reservations can be cancelled or modified free of charge up to 48 hours before the reserved time. Please notify us of any cancellation or modification requests in writing at gourmet@platantata.hu. In the event of late cancellation, late guest number modification, or no-show, a cancellation fee of 40 000 HUF per person will be charged.
Is it possible to have dinner without a reservation?
No, please kindly note that Platán Gourmet Restaurant is by reservation only. The online reservation system closes at 6 pm every day for the next day.
What menu options are available?
Platán Gourmet Restaurant offers only tasting menus. When booking, guests may choose between a 10-course and a 6-course tasting menu. Each table can select only one type of menu, and it is not possible to alter the chosen menu upon arrival. Wine or non-alcoholic pairings are also offered with the tasting menus. Please kindly note that our restaurant does not offer an à la carte menu.
Can you accommodate food intolerances or allergies?
We can usually cater for most food intolerance or allergy-related dietary requests with prior notice and do our best to adapt the menu accordingly. However, we would like to inform you that we do not offer a vegan and dairy-free menu. If you have any food intolerances or allergies, please kindly let us know at the time of the booking, as we are unable to alter the menu upon arrival.
Do you have accommodation?
Yes, we offer exclusive accommodation at Platán Manor, located above Platán Gourmet Restaurant within the Platán Tata complex. In 2025, Platán Manor was awarded One Key by The MICHELIN Guide. Do you provide transfer and/or limousine services?
Yes, transfer and/or limousine service is available. Please indicate your request for this service when making your reservation and our colleagues will contact you. For further inquiries, please contact us at restaurant@platangourmet.hu.
Can I purchase a gift voucher?
Yes, it is possible to purchase a gift voucher via the Gift voucher button in the top navigation bar of our website. After a successful purchase, our colleagues will be in contact with you and send the voucher to the e-mail address you provided.Is there a dress code at the restaurant?
There is no dress code at our restaurant, however, we recommend elegant, smart attire.Can I visit the restaurant with children?
At Platán Gourmet Restaurant, we warmly welcome our younger guests to participate in our tasting menu. However, unfortunately, we do not offer a children's menu. Please kindly note that our restaurant cannot accommodate small children and infants. If you wish to dine with infants or small children, we recommend Platán Bistro, our other venue in Tata, which has been awarded Bib Gourmand by The MICHELIN Guide (https://platanbisztro.hu).Can I bring my pet to the restaurant?

Unfortunately, Platán Gourmet Restaurant is unable to accommodate wheelchair users, due to the design of our restaurant. As an accessible alternative, we recommend Platán Bistro, our other venue in Tata, which has been awarded Bib Gourmand by The MICHELIN Guide (https://platanbisztro.hu).
